WHAT IS THE MARIA ESTHER BUENO CUP?
Named after the greatest Brazilian tennis player ever, a 19-time Grand Slam champion, the Maria Esther Bueno Cup is an initiative from Rio Open to promote the new generation of Brazilian players. The champion of the event wins a wild card for the main draw of the ATP 500, and the runner-up enters the qualifying.
